Steigenberger Nile Palace is a five star hotel on Khaled Ben El-Waleed Street on the southern corniche, the Nile in front of it and the west bank hills across the water. Luxor Temple is 1.9 km up the corniche and Karnak 4.7 km beyond it. The west bank crossing puts the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's temple within a morning. The train station is 2.2 km inland and the airport 7 km out, with a hotel shuttle.

Fourteen room types run from a 32 m2 classic room to a 90 m2 suite for four, several facing the river head on or from the side, each with air conditioning, a minibar, a kettle, a safe and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and most with a balcony.
